Kajsa and Viktor, two snowboarders living in the very north of Sweden, loves the arctic winters. But in the last two decades, something disquieting has occurred. Where they live, the average temperature is increasing at twice the rate as the global average, what consequences will that have for the winter and the people living there?

We both grew up above the arctic circle in the northernmost parts of Sweden. Our journey towards film makers begun with bringing a camcorder out on the mountain, filming ourselves and others snowboarding. And it was through this passion we met each other, and eventually started to create films together. We both are concerned about how we humans affect our planet, and have come to realize that many people find it hard do grasp the issue, including ourselves. The idea to Tracks was born out of this. We wanted to highlight the changes that has already occurred outside our windows, and show what we are gambling with on a local level, and our landscapes role in the global perspective.
